Introducing Christoph Sander – Regional Head of Sales


Last week we welcomed Christoph as our Regional Head of Sales for DACH, Benelux, NE, UK and Ireland. Based in Düsseldorf, Christoph comes to us with 8 years experience in the robotics industry.

Christoph Sanders – Regional Head of Sales

Christoph, will you share a bit about yourself?

“I grew up in the East German province and was attracted to Asian cultures, especially Japan, from an early age. I studied Japanese Area Science and Business Economics at the University of Bonn and this allowed me to spend time in Kagoshima and Tokyo, where I worked for the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
It was during this time that I encountered real robots for the first time – I’d previously only known them from TV – which sparked a new fascination in me.”

What experience do you have of the robotics and automation industry?

I’ve worked in the automation industry for 8 years. Most recently, I worked for a wholesaler of Japanese industrial robots and automation equipment, where I drove sales to distributors, system integrators and end users across Europe.

What are your thoughts about joining ROEQ?

I’m proud to be part of the exciting journey that ROEQ is on.

While I’ve long been familiar with conventional handling robots such as SCARA, robotic arms and linear actuators, the world of intralogistics is relatively new to me. I was therefore surprised to learn how significant the role of MRE (Mobile Robotic Equipment) is in the integration of mobile robotic solutions.

Production lines have been automated to a large extent in many industries, so a next step is to do the same with the upstream and downstream flow of goods. ROEQ offers standardized products that allow integrators to save valuable resources and moreover increase their project rate, facilitating the market adoption of AMRs.

How have you experienced your first couple of weeks at ROEQ?

It has been a steep learning curve and it will continue to be in the coming months as I master the products and get to know the ROEQ partners in my region. Thankfully, I feel well supported by my colleagues, at the Danish office and know who to reach out to with questions. Oh and I enjoyed the Danish hospitality during my first week – especially the smørrebrød.
