“We are excited to collaborate with Continental to develop a series of heavy-duty top rollers for this AMR newcomer” says Michael E. Hansen, Managing Director at ROEQ “Although we have produced top rollers for some years, it is a positive experience, working with the Continental team to develop this equipment, to perform seamlessly with their new AMR.” Michael continues “The new ROEQ rollers are still in a development stage, so we can’t say more than, there will be three products capable of transporting up to 600 kg, 1000 kg and 1200 kg respectively. As with all ROEQ top rollers, they will be able to operate with our award winning ROEQ GuardCom, which will also be showcased at LogiMAT this month.”

The ROEQ product range currently includes top rollers in fixed heights and those with automatic height adjustment for bridging conveyor stations of different heights. All ROEQ top rollers are developed and tested with safety and reliability in focus. Features include, barriers on the rollers to protect fingers from being trapped, brakes to prevent loads from sliding when the robot is moving and position and cargo sensors to ensure safe loading and transfer of goods.

The ROEQ GuardCom system provides the link between the top roller and the stationary conveyor, for a safer and more efficient transfer. The GuardCom is very easy to set up and takes minimal space, as it simply fixes on the stationary conveyor. It works using optical sensors rather than Wi-Fi, which improves reliability, decreases cycle time, and reduces delays and downtime.
