For decades, forklifts have been the go-to method for moving pallets. However, Sweden-based Skandia Elevator realized that they’re no longer the safest for production equipment and operators on the floor.
Being a forward-thinking company, Skandia Elevator knew what the solution was: automation with AMRs. Skandia Elevator’s trusted system integrator, AtLid, knew which solution was needed: an OMRON AMR with a ROEQ top module.
This was going to be AtLid and Skandia Elevator’s first AMR project together. Was this project too ambitious? No, it was perfectly ambitious, as OMRON & ROEQ came together to offer simple setup and strong support.
Skandia Elevator needed a solution that picks up, moves, and safely drops off pallets up to 500 kg.
In other words, an OMRON MD-650 with a ROEQ TML500 Pallet Lift EU.
