Anthony Magazu – Responsible for Sales Americas
Anthony who lives in South Carolina, USA, joined our dynamic team in August 2023 and has been seamlessly “integrating” into the ROEQ spirit.
As part of his comprehensive onboarding journey, Anthony visited our Danish office, where he met the rest of the team in person at the ROEQ Summer Party. This event provided not only a fantastic opportunity for some relaxed team bonding but also a chance for Anthony to learn a bit about Danish culture and ROEQ traditions – mostly involving cake, “hygge” and perhaps a Friday beer!
During his visit, Anthony also had the chance to get hands on with the ROEQ Top Module solutions and took part in intensive internal technical training.
In his own words Anthony enjoyed an “awesome week”, and left highly motivated to meet and support ROEQ Partners and customers in the region.
Anthony, will you share a bit about yourself?
I live in Fort Mill, South Carolina, just south of Charlotte, North Carolina. My beautiful wife Paige and I have a 15 month old son, David, and an almost 2 month old daughter, Sophie. There’s never a dull moment in our house!
On a personal level, I played Quarterback at the collegiate level, at Kent State University. I use the term “played” very loosely, as I spent the majority of my time injured. But I was on the team!
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, doing anything active, eating great food, and listening to live music.
What did you work with before joining ROEQ?
I have been in the material handling and automation industry since 2015, working for systems integrators and multiple AMR OEMs. My primary responsibilities and time spent at those OEMs has been within the channel/partner network. AMRs and automation are at the forefront of today’s supply chain industry, which I feel very motivated by.
What attracted you to this role at ROEQ?
I was impressed by the products and the opportunity that they offer for manufacturing and warehouse automation. Providing an automated (MRE) mobile robotic equipment solution like ROEQ gives customers the opportunity to unlock their AMR fleet’s full potential. ROEQ is addressing the most important step in a workflow and gives AMRs the ability to autonomously move, roll, and lift cargo.
What have been your first impressions at ROEQ and what are you looking forward to?
ROEQ has a customer first mindset and a vast partner network that has been built on both new and long-lasting relationships. Whether you’re a customer, partner, or working for ROEQ directly, you’re part of the ROEQ family. I have felt the strong support, and team mentality since I started, which has made me feel immediately welcome. I have also been impressed by the level of expertise in the development and the technical support team, so I feel confident about the level of quality and safety that the solutions offer.
I’m looking forward to meeting the partners and helping scale our solution across the Americas.
